The annual Australian International Building Materials Exhibition Designbuild began in 1987 and has a history of 23 years. The exhibition is supported by the Australian Government, the Australian Institute of Architects, the Australian Architects Association, and the Australian Stone Consultants Association. The show is held in rotation between Sydney and Melbourne, Australia. It is the largest comprehensive building materials exhibition in Australia and Oceania, providing exhibitors with a very attractive channel to open up the Australian and international markets. Designbuild attracts many international architects, designers, developers, engineers, government representatives, contractors, importers and distributors every year. The 24th Australian International Building Materials Exhibition will be held at the Melbourne International Exhibition Center in 2010.
